FM-200 Extinguishing Agent (The best Fire suppression system)

FM-200

FM-200 is a extinguishing agent employed for both i.e. for local application and total flooding system.
FM-200 not prevents extensive fire damage but also virtually eliminates collateral damage to delicate equipment and instruments from the extinguishing agent itself.
i)FM-200 is a clean agent containing no particulars or oily residues.
ii)FM-200 does not significantly reduce oxygen levels and is safe for occupied spaces where you most important assets, human resource reside.
iii)after FM-200 is discharged it can be removed from the protected space by simple ventilation allowing you to resume normal operations quickly.

Benefits of FM-200 suppression system:

FM-200 can be effectively used in following areas:
•Telecommunication networks.
•Data processing facilities.
•Process control rooms.
•High value medical facilities.
•High value industrial equipment areas.
•Libraries, museums and art galleries.
•Flammable liquid storage area.

How FM-200 works:
FM-200 removes Heat energy, Not oxygen:
Effective on Class A, B, and C fires, FM-200 extinguishes fires quickly through a combination of chemical interaction and physical heat removal. It does not smother flames by removing oxygen. FM-200 removes heat energy from fire, not oxygen from the environment. FM-200 absorbs heat from the flame zone and interrupts the chemical chain reaction of the combustion process.
Stored as a liquid in pressurized cylinders, FM-200 flows through a pipe networking to a discharge nozzle where it is deployed as a gas. The amount of FM-200 delivered to each nozzle is carefully calculated to ensure the appropriate concentration level.
FM-200 waterless fire protection systems are designed for uniform distribution throughout the protected area. Unlike water or water mist, which may be unable to penetrate  inside electronic enclosures and cabinets. Or reach a fire that is underneath machinery compartments, FM-200 gas penetrates with three-dimensional capability, easily reaching into obscure ot hard to reach areas.

FM-200 Systems: Big Fire Protection in Small Package:
Storing FM-200 in cylinders as a liquid saves substantial storage space. In addition, most FM-200 systems require less than 7% concentration to quickly extinguish a fire. This combination results in far less cylinder storage than many other fire suppression systems saving valuable floor space for more productive uses. For Example, high pressure carbon-dioxide system require twice as many cylinders as FM-200. Inert gas systems can require upto seven times as many cylinders. In applications where space is at a premium, FM-200 systems are the superior choice.

FM-200 Systems: Stops Fire promptly

The primary objective of an FM-200 system is to detect and extinguish a fire in its incipient stage long before smoke generation causes damage. Fire often begins before you see smoke or fire or feel instense heat. This is the incipient stage of fire development. When fire are stopped  at the incipient stage, the risk of explosion, production of toxic combustion by products, and extensive damage are eliminated. Delays usually result in loss of lives, increased damage and downtime.
No other commercially available fire suppression system extinguishes, fires than FM-200. FM-200 systems rapidly detect and suppress ordinary combustible, electrical, flammable liquid and gas fires in just seconds, often before the systems has finished discharging.
FM-200 Systems: Proven Safety Record
When evaluating fire suppression systems, it's easy to focus on protecting valuable assets. It's easy to lose weight of your greatest need: protecting human life. If you have an FM-200 Waterless fire protection system, you can breath easy.
FM-200 has been proven safe for people through extensive pharmacological testing revealed by no other fire suppressant. FM-200 has been proven to be safe that the compound is approved as a propellant for pharmaceutical inhalers. Once a system has discharged, you can remove FM-200 and any harmful combustion by-products from the space by simple ventilation. You can resume normal operations almost immediately.

FM-200 Systems: No Collateral Damage:
Many fire protection systems cause collateral damage to the very assets they are supposed to protect. FM-200 not only prevents extensive fire damage: it eliminates collateral damage to even the most sensitive electronics, artwork, instruments, equipment, and other valuable assets.
FM-200 does not leave any oil residues, particulates or corrosive material after discharge. When some fire protection systems such as water, fosm, or dry chemicals, the extinguishing agent can be as damaging as the fire. The associated clean-up, repair, and disaster recovery processes often result in extensive delays and downtime.
Unlike water, FM-200 is non-conductive, so it's safe to use around all types of electronics and electrical equipment. Properly designed FM-200 systems also prevent thermal shock sensitive electronics.

Discharge Pressure:
During the early stages of discharge, FM-200 changes from liquid to gas at the discharge nozzle. During this stage, FM-200 absorbs heat from the surrounding air, slightly lowering the room temperature, and decreasing the room pressure. As the discharge continues, FM-200 expands to fill the entire room. The pressure in the room turns slightly positive for the remaining seconds of the discharge.
The pressure dynamics during the discharge of an FM-200 system are identical to those of HALON 1301 and other halocarbon suppressants that are stored as liquefied compressed gases.

For most discharge situations, the positive pressure is greater than the initial decrease, thus, care must be taken not to over pressurize the room. The nominal leakage of the most existing rooms generally ensures against over pressurization. In fact, many areas need additional sealing to assure a satisfactory holding time for FM-200.

(B.L.E.V.E) Boiling Liquid Expansion Vapour Explosion & UVCE Explosion.

👉B.L.E.V.E. (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapour Explosion).  A BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapour Explosion) is experienced when  containers of liquefied gases, are exposed to fires. It results from the failure of a vessel containing a liquid or a liquefied gas at a temperature significantly above its boiling point at normal atmospheric pressure. In case of container failure, a large fraction of  the superheated liquid flashes to vapour, resulting in the sudden generation of a large amount of flammable gas. " CLICK:- Everything about BLEVE " Considering the large amount of liquefied gases which are in use both in the industry and society, the risk of BLEVEs is high, as is also evident from large number of instances of BLEVEs, both within and outside industrial premises. Amongst the most  dangerous of such explosions are the rupture of liquefied gas containers such as large Horton spheres, bullets (both fixed and mobile), smaller cylinders, etc. If such ...

Air sampling

Air sampling : - Basic need of air quality sampling and work environment monitoring and analysis is to find the level of pollution and to work out strategy to reduce it. Need of sampling and monitoring is statutorily suggested by Form no. 37,Rule 12B of the Gujarat Factories Rules. The format calls for identification of airborne contaminants, sampling instruments and methods, number of samples and comparison of measured value with the TWA concentration in 2nd schedule of the Factories Act to assess the working environment also the number of workers exposed to that. Correct record of such workplace monitoring is essential for good health and good housekeeping.  Need of sampling and monitoring is also inferred from the types, sources and hazards of air pollutants. Monitoring is more than air sampling or medical examination of a worker. It includes a series of actions to assess the protection necessary.  CLICK HERE👉 Environmental air sampling Purpose and types of Air...
